What is Giftcard Converter?
Giftcard Converter is an online marketplace where visitors can buy, sell or donate unused gift cards.
Do GCC sell gift cards themselves?
No, GCC do not sell the gift cards on the site. We exist purely to provide a marketplace for others to buy gift cards they're after or sell gift cards they no longer need.
I am new to Giftcard Converter, how does this work?
Giftcard Converter allows you to buy, sell or donate your unwanted gift cards. We allow users to buy or sell cards with other users of the site. Giftcard Converter does not sell or trade the cards directly, we facilitate linking users by giving them a marketplace to buy and sell.
Over £1 billion worth of gift cards were bought last year in the UK and it’s estimated that up to quarter of them will not be used. That’s a whopping £250 million that goes unclaimed. Wasted cards are a big bonus for retailers, if we don’t use em’ they get money for nothing, nada, zilch!!!
So let’s get converting them with each other and making sure they get used.
Buy
How do I make payments for gift card purchases?
We use PayPal as our card payment service.
Do I need to pay postage?
No, the postage charges are covered by the seller. We recommend to sellers that they send via Royal Mail recorded signed for. To find out more visit our postage and delivery page.
When will I receive my card?
We ask all sellers to send cards within 5 working days, so you should receive your cars within 7 workings days. If you do not receive your card within 7 working days, please contact paypal and raise a dispute.
Can I get the card delivered to an alternative address?
At present, we do not offer this facility. All cards must be sent to the address registered within your paypal account.
I bought a card and I want to verify its value, how do I do this?
On the back of your gift card, you will find a serial number and pin number that are unique to your card. There will be a a phone number or web address on the giftcard. You can usually go to the web address of the retailer or call the number provided, were you will be asked to enter the serial number and pin to verify the current value on the card. If there is no number to call on your card, visit the card issuer’s website for assistance in checking the value on your card.

What if the card value is incorrect or I try to use the card and it does not work?
In the unlikely event of this happening, you must contact paypal immediately and raise a dispute.

How much does it cost to list?
It’s free to list your card on our website and we now no longer take a fee.
How do I send the giftcard?
We recommend to sellers that they send via Royal Mail recorded signed for or recorded delivery. To find out more visit our postage and delivery page.
How long have I got to send the card?
Sellers must send the card within 5 working days.
How do I get paid?
You will get paid directly into your paypal account.
My gift card merchant is not on your list. Can I list it?
If the card is not on our list, let us know by emailing admin admin@giftcardconverter.co.uk and we may be able to add the card to our list
How do I find out how much my gift card is worth (current value)?

Is there a minimum and maximum value for gift cards that can be sold or exchanged with Giftcard Converter?
Yes. You can sell your gift card at Giftcard Converter if the current value of the gift card is £10 or more and up to £600.
Giftcard Converter does not buy or exchange gift cards with a current value of less than £10; however we do offer users the opportunity to donate giftcards to charity. If you have any giftcard with a value you can send it to us and we will donate these to a nominated charity every month and publish how much we donated on our website. These charities will range from homeless charities to hospices and children’s charities.
